The Human Game

I'm excited to have a short story published in The Brussels Review! It's the first short story I've written outside of a writing course, a long time ago, and my first story to be published. The genre would be considered fantasy, though I'm not trying to write in a specific style. The idea for The Human Game grew out of a fun thought about how we came to exist. It has a little Greek mythology, with a touch of simulation theory, plus another way of thinking about the possibility of aliens. I didn't set out to get philosophical, psychological or environmentalist but that is how the story went...

My Talk on App Advertising with Google vs Apple

After I developed my mobile game, Bug Hop, like a lot of indie developers, I didn't know how to get my game out there. 

I decided to use the advertising platforms with Google and Apple. Once I set my ad campaigns up on both sides at the same time, for the same amount of money, it became an experiment.

I wrote about the results in tech magazine, Hacker Noon, hoping to reach other mobile developers with the same challenges. My article was then accepted by Better Marketing, a publication that shares marketing advice and stories.

But I was really excited to be invited to talk about my experience at the App Promotion Summit! This conference series brings together global experts to talk about app marketing and growth, including people like me with a case study.

How I Created My First Video Game

Am really excited to have an article published today with Jump Magazine! The story outlines my journey creating mobile game, Bug Hop - from the initial inspiration to fleshing out the game idea, to coding, animation, feedback and putting together the finished product for the Android and Apple store!

Problem-solving is fun! This was the premise I started from when designing my game, Bug Hop. As a software developer with experience across a number of industries, I was looking for a new project, something more inspiring than my day to day contribution to London’s financial industry…and an idea began to form.
